Not double secret probation again

The level of secrecy at work is at an all-time high. I think Duane and I are ready to part ways with the City. It's not personal that they may lay us off. People in all walks of life are losing their jobs these days. Duane's more of a heavy duty planner than I am. He has more angst at the City than I do. If I have to leave I'll miss the boys on the crew the most. We have a camaraderie that's hard for most people to understand. I'll miss Duane too. He's my homeboy.

You going to be okay if they lay you off? You can get health insurance through Mrs right?

The City will continue my health insurance for 6 months and then I can get coverage through Mrs.

You can sell bikes at HC. No insurance, but plenty of yukking it up.

And with the number of aging boomer women out there, I'm sure you have a future in exotic dancing.

Hiawatha should hire you for telephone customer service. Plus, they can make you call Peter White Cycles. Anyway, does this mean you'll only cut down trees for fun, not profit?

Aw, sorry to hear that, Ray. Just so long as you guys can still support the doggies, I'm sure you'll be ok. So, you think this is a chance to have a mid-life crisis and do some kind of weird-ass job that's been your dream ever since you were a pup???

Times are tough when people can go around laying off Ray. Good luck buddy.
